Contract Pricing

Hewitt equipment, services and software are sold as custom packages to institutional, educational, dental and clinical facilities. Packages are specified and quoted by a Hewitt consulting engineer or equipment specialist. All MSRP pricing for component items are set by the manufacturer or brand and are documented in each Hewitt Statement of Work and/or Proposal. Final package pricing is delivered by the equipment consultant by discounting the MSRP price by the agreed upon percentage for that brand, category or product. All customer discounts off MSRP are listed in the Appendix C below:

Institutions contemplating the purchase of brands following into any of the above categories should contact Hewitt Dental to generate a list of relevant products and services that will satisfy the requirements of the project. In consultation with the purchasing entity, Hewitt will generate an equipment, software and service specification to statisfy the requirments of the purchaser. The project's final cost will be calculating by applying the agreed upon discounts above to each item's MSRP.

$1.5 Billion in Purchases, $270 million in Taxpayer Savings

The contract leverages the state’s purchasing power to negotiate competitive discounts with vendors, saving taxpayer money. In fiscal year 2011 we reached over $1.5 billion in technology customer purchases, which translates into more than $270 million in savings for taxpayers:*

  • Texas state agencies saved over $109 million*
  • K–12 public education institutions saved more than $68 million*
  • Cities, counties, and other local governments across Texas saved $56 million*
  • Public universities and other higher education institutions saved more than $39 million*

Every dollar our customers save on the purchase of technology goods and services is a dollar that can be spent on mission-critical services such as education and health care.

  • Local Government – 22%
  • Education (Higher Ed and K–12) – 45%
  • State Agencies – 33%
